Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I have always been interested in History and Education. Therefore, it was only fitting that I became a Social Studies teacher. As I got older, my interest turned into a passion and it was that passion that made it easy for me to pursue my career in education.
I attended St. Edmund Preparatory High School in Sheepshed Bay, Brooklyn until 2006. Upon graduation, I attended Ithaca College, where I studied Social Studies Education. I bounced around to multiple substitute teaching jobs ranging from pre-school to high school students until I found my first permanent position at my Alma Mater, St. Edmund Preparatory High School. In September of 2013, I started a new opportunity at the Urban Institute of Mathematics teaching 8th Grade American History.
When I am not at work or taking classes towards my Masters Degree, I enjoy working out, fishing, sports, and spending time with my pet hedgehog Potato. However, I make sure that I implement the same skills that I have been using since my early education which have allowed me to build upon my own knowledge in order to improve in everythign that I do; something that I strive to teach every singe one of my students. If you would like to know more about me or my educational philosophy, please feel free to message me under "Contact Form" or you can email me here.
